Privacy Policy

Updated October 28, 2026. This policy covers the Tattoo Artists Chicago website and artist account service.

Information we use

When registration is enabled, we use your email address to authenticate your account and send requested sign-in or claim links. If you choose Google, we verify your Google account identifier and email address. We do not request access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive, or calendar.

We store the artist name, optional studio name, city, region, country, biography, and specialties you save. New profile drafts remain private until the directory’s publication requirements and rights checks are met. Signing in does not automatically claim an existing artist profile.

Cookies and service providers

We use essential cookies for secure sign-in and account sessions, not advertising. Our hosting and network providers process connection information such as IP addresses and requested URLs to deliver and protect the site. We use hashed rate-limit identifiers to reduce abuse.

Requested account emails are delivered through Resend when configured. Google Identity Services is loaded on the signup page when Google sign-in is available. These providers process information needed for their services. We do not sell artist account information.

Security and retention

Email sign-in and claim links expire after 15 minutes and work once. Account sessions expire after 30 days. Expired authentication records are deleted by routine cleanup. Profile and account records are retained while needed to provide the service, handle requests, and meet applicable obligations.

Your email address is not displayed on public artist profiles. A claim request shows only a masked version of the contact email already on file.

Your choices

You can sign out, update your draft profile, or contact us about access, corrections, account deletion, or profile removal. Ownership disputes and claims using a different email require manual verification.

Future features

Portfolio uploads, customer inquiries, analytics, and paid usage will have additional information and controls before they are enabled. No payment card or paid usage authorization is collected by this signup flow.
